US-based law scholar Prof Makau Mutua now wants all neighbouring countries to chip in, and partition Somalia for the sake of peace and stability.
In a fiery tweet on Sunday, the controversial don lamented that the country has failed to redeem itself, following latest deadly terror attack.
He urged the world to chip in and immediately take over the country before everything gets lost due to terror attacks.
"For God’s sake, Somalia is beyond reclamation. Post-colonial’s Humpty Dumpty has reached its nadir. Let’s face facts — neighboring states need to dismember so-called Somalia and take all of its parts for the sake of the world," he wrote.
Over 90 people were on Saturday killed in the war torn nation, in yet another deadly attack at the capital Mogadishu.
Speaking to reporters at the blast site, Mogadishu Mayor Omar Muhamoud said students were killed as they commuted to their studies, many of them to the capital’s Banadir University.
Somali Foreign Affairs Minister Ahmed Awad tweeted that many of those killed were “students with ambition, and hardworking men and women.”
Somalia is set for polls next year. Lawmakers on Saturday passed controversial Electoral Bill which will guide the election.
