Former Kenya Airways boss Mr Titus Naikuni has been ordered by the Employment and Labour Relations Court to pay KSH 10 million to a KQ employee.
Moreno Bosire took Naikuni to court after he was sacked for wearing an Arsenal football kit emblazoned with the words 'Fly Emirates.'
In the verdict, the court said that the former Corporate and Communications Manager had been subject to undignified treatment that militated against his constitutional rights.
"In conclusion, the court finds that Bosire was unfairly terminated and further Naikuni treated him in a very undignified manner contrary to his rights under the Constitution," the court's verdict read according to a story by Citizen Digital.
The ruling is a major coup for Mr Moreno who has been fighting for justice since 2013, the year his contract was terminated.
Moreno had told the court that he had been asked by the former KQ boss remove the shirt in front of his colleagues, an act that left him extremely humiliated.
Since the court found Naikuni personally liable for the sacking the manager, he will have to pay Moreno from his own pocket.
Naikuni had termed the T-shirt offensive because the wings of Fly-Emirates appeared prominently across the manager's shirt.
