Suna East MP Junet Mohammed is among Kenyans who lost loved ones in Tuesday's terror attack at 14 Riverside Drive in Westlands.
Junet on Wednesday intimated that he lost his cousin Feisal Ahmed Rashid who was at the besieged Dusit Hotel located along 14 Riverside Drive.
Feisal was killed by the al-shabaab militants alongside his friend Abdalla Mohamed Dahir.
The two were having lunch at the hotel before the gunmen struck in what was to become a 19-hour terror attack
"I lost my cousin Feisal Ahmed Rashid to yesterday’s attack at Dusit Hotel and his Friend Abdalla Mohamed Dahir as they were having Lunch at the restaurant," said Junet in a tweet.
He condemned the killings and further condoled with other families who lost their loved ones during the terror attack.
"People who call themselves Muslims killing other Muslims. “ My condolences to all Kenyans who lost their lives," added the ODM director of elections.
President Uhuru Kenyatta in his State of the Nation address on Wednesday indicated that 14 Kenyans were killed.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i in a press conference outside Dusit D2 Hotel on Wednesday said all agencies have commenced investigations into the attack.
He, however, did not reveal the exact number of the assailants who were eliminated by the government's special forces.
