Comedian Eric Omondi has revealed that he is planning to build a youth's parliament by next year.
In a long Instagram post on Monday, Omondi acknowledged the good work his fellow comedian and TV host Chipukeezy is doing as the World ambassador for the youth.
He, however, pointed out that the issue of youth empowerment has been a discussion that has taken too long without achieving or implementing anything. The comedian says a youth parliament will help put this to an end.
"I am a strong believer in implementing and effecting change myself instead of asking others to do it. This is therefore what I plan to do by next year. I plan to build a YOUTH PARLIAMENT in NAIROBI by next year. The Parliament will consist of 47 elected or selected Youths from the 47 Counties and a Speaker," Omondi said in part of his Instagram post.
Through the youth parliament, he says, the youths will raise concerns that affect their lives which will be discussed, passed and implemented.
The comedian asked Chipukeezy to help him ask President Uhuru Kenyatta for help in making sure that this dream comes true.
"WE Will do this @ericomondi tutafute Mdosi," Chipukeezy replied.
