Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has today held a meeting with all county ministers and directors in his office hours after dismissing claims that he is corrupt and under investigations by EACC.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader who is also serving his last term in office revealed on his official Twitter handle that they discussed development projects that will lead them to streamline the working force that will hence transform Machakos county.
“I shared with them the need for streamlined working processes that will ensure impeccable public service, and as team leaders, my expectation of them to translate my vision for Machakos to their respective teams and on the ground” he tweeted
Mutua also used the platform to discuss the 2022 politics. He said that he wants to use the Maendeleo Chap Chap philosophy that he has been using in Machakos as a governor to rule the country
“As public servants, we have the responsibility of positively changing this country and by adopting the Maendeleo Chap Chap philosophy, we will surely realize this. Inawezekana na Itawezekana (It is possible and will be possible.)” he tweeted
Earlier today, Mutua dismissed claims he is under investigation by the EACC for corruption allegations calling ti a smear campaign meant to divert attention from development and a tough stance against graft.
"I have seen a smear campaign meant to divert attention from my DEVELOPMENT focus & TOUGH stance against GRAFT, by painting me as corrupt. I am NOT under any investigation by EACC" said the former government spokesperson in part.
He has however made it clear that he will run for the country's top seat in the coming election.
