Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali has weighed in on the frustrations and woes of controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna who is stranded at a German airport.
Writing on Twitter on Wednesday, the outspoken legislator appealed to the government to respect the rights of its citizens.
He called out the hypocrisy of the unity gospel being preached by the government as he held out hope that Miguna would be finally be allowed to travel back to the country.
"Inviduals within the government must learn to respect court orders. Otherwise, there is no essence of preaching unity and peace through BBI yet Kenyans like @MigunaMiguna are being taken through HELL! Miguna is a KENYAN and nothing will change that. GOD willing he will be with us, " Mohamed Ali's tweet read.
A court order issued by Justice Weldon Korir ordering the government to facilitate the lawyer's return into the country is yet to be enforced.
Miguna has long maintained that by being prevented from coming to Kenya, the government is acting in gross violation of his rights as a citizen and in contravention of a court order.
His ejection from an Air France plane is the latest twist in a gripping legal saga pitting the lawyer against immigration authorities.
