Kisii county nurses have agreed to resume work after weeks of strike. During a consultation held on Monday 18th February 2019 afternoon between the Kisii county government and the Kenya National Union of nurses Kisii branch, the nurses official gave their return to work procedure as follows:

Kisii county to pay the nurses February 2019 in full including the days out of work, besides, they have urged the county government not to victimize either the nurses or their union officials for downing  their tools, they have stated further that the nurses quest for promotion and resignation should be adopted by the county government by end of this month February 2019.

The nurses, however, gave notice of sixty 60 days starting Monday 18th February 2019for their return to work procedure to be met without which they will down their tools again.

Speaking after agreeing to return to work, the official's of nurses Kisii branch said that they have hopes that Kisii government led by Governor James Ongwae and his deputy Joash Maangi will commit to their demands following the latest move by the county government in transforming health sector in the region.

The official's further appealed to their members that their demands will be attended to and thus they should report to their various  working stations by tomorrow Tuesday 19th Feb 2019.
