The family members were speaking at Ahero mortuary on Sunday where they had gone to identify the bodies of the six.

The bereaved families called upon the Interior CS Fred Matiang'i to intervene and catalyze investigation into the case to establish the killers.

"All of the six were killed. I was left speechless. Honourable Matiang'i, such people are supposed to be searched for and brought to book so that it can be a lesson for people to avoid taking part in similar incidents.

(Wote wasita waliuawa. Sasa nilishindwa na la kusema. Honourable Matiang'i at least watu kama hawa inatakikana watafutwe, serikali iwatafute Ibring hao to book so that watu wengine hawawezi fanya kitu kama hiyo tena)," Boaz Adera, a bereaved father, said.

"The fact that you are dressed in a similar manner, you can be a women group,  you are dressed according to your group. The fact that these people were dressed in suits does not prove them to be gangsters," Peter Otieno, a guardian, explained.

The six who were killed were identified as; William Omondi alias Sisqo, Elvis Odoyo, Evans Onyango, Richard  Odero alias Nick, David Okeyo and Philip Kwach.

They had gone to provide security at a burial ceremony of a slain business man when they were murdered.

Various leaders in the country led by Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o  have also condemned the killings.
