Speaking in Meru county on Sunday, the DP said that he is set and well prepared to face off with the former Prime Minister who whose previous four bids have all been futile.

The DP spoke in reference to media reports which on Sunday claimed that Raila is as well preparing for the race, claims Raila and his allies have since come out to rubbish.

However, the DP maintained that the ODM boss must first publicly declare that he is willing to accept defeat after the race.

“I have heard that he has announced that he wants to compete with me in 2022. I do not have a problem competing with him, but he must first tell and assure Kenyans that in case of a defeat, he will accept the decision of the Kenyan voters,” he said.

The DP who urged Raila to declare that he will not cause chaos upon losing however noted that he is currently not interested in any thing to do woth the 2022 debate.

He said that his main interest currently is to deliver in line with the Jubilee government Big 4 agenda, after which the 2022 debate will follow.

“But for the time being, I want to tell him that I am busy ensuring that the Jubilee manifesto and the Big Four agenda are realised," he said.
