Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has claimed that Jubilee Party is expected to reach an agreement on its position on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report during the Naivasha meeting.
Members of the ruling party are expected to meet in Naivasha from Monday in what has been termed as the Jubilee Parliamentary Group meeting.
According to the Gatundu South legislator, the agreement that will be reached upon by the party will be presented to Yusuf Haji who is the head of the BBI report task force.
Kuria further pointed out that they will discuss the political lineup of Jubilee Party in the 2022 general elections.
“We are gearing up for the first official Jubilee Parliamentary Group meeting since the release of the BBI report. We shall come up with the official Jubilee position on the BBI scenarios to be presented to (Senator Yusuf) Haji’s team,” Kuria stated.
The Naivasha meeting comes after a perceived division in Jubilee Party which has been witnessed in a number of the members siding with President Uhuru Kenyatta and others supporting Deputy President William Ruto.
Both Uhuru and Ruto allies have announced that they are in support of the BBI report.
Ruto's camp was the latest to make the announcement of their change of heart to support the report.
