The contracts were handed over to the players last Friday, before the team registered a 1-0 win over visiting Kariobangi Sharks at the Moi stadium on Saturday.

It was All Stars' first win of the season after eight previous attempts.

Kisumu County Director of Sports Kenneth Otieno said, they gave the players six-month contracts to leave room for those who may wish to leave the club during the next transfer window.

“Some of them may wish to leave during the next transfer window. It is not logical to issue them with lets say one year contracts,” said Otieno during an interview early this week.

“We leave room to those who would wish to leave to get greener pastures and also replace those who may choose to leave,” he added.

All Stars is taking part in the Kenya Premier League (KPL) for the first time this season.

The team was promoted to the topflight league from the second tier National Super League (NSL) at the end of last season.

All Stars which is ranked 16th on the KPL log with six points after 9 matches, will face Wazito FC on November 20.
