Barely two weeks after ditching Tanga Tanga team, Nyamira Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the DP William Ruto.
Ms Momanyi has been a key supporter of Dr Ruto from the larger Gusii region and the DP has been attending a number of functions organised by her.
At West Mugirango on Saturday, Ms Momanyi shifted her guns to Dr Ruto, accusing him of unfulfilled promises to the region, adding that Matiang'i has been working smartly.
"I am supporting Matiang'i not because he's our senior most officer in government. Unlike the other side I have been working with (Ruto), Matiang'i is quite promising," she said.
The Jubilee legislator asked residents to support Matiang'i, adding that his recent promotion by President Uhuru Kenyatta will immensely help the region.
"He is actually married from across the fence. Don't you know his wife? Then let's support him for the sake of development in our region," she averred.
On Wednesday last week, Matiang'i held a closed-door meeting with 14 MPs from Nyamira and Kisii Counties where he pledged to revive stalled projects.
The meeting came barely five days after over 30 elected and nominated leaders from Nyamira held a secret meeting in which they reportedly endorsed Matiang'i as de facto Gusii community leader.
