Miguna, a fierce critic of Uhuru and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, said he can openly criticise anybody since he cannot be compromised or blackmailed to remain silent.

In a tweet on Sunday, the former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate outlined six reasons why the Head of State, or anybody else, can't 'silence' him.

"Why Uhuru Kenyatta and fellow despots can't silence me; I'm fearless, I've never been bribed or bribed anyone, I've no loans or mortgages, I've never stolen a dime, I've never grabbed land, I'm not looking for validation," he posted.

"Despots can't compromise or blackmail me," Miguna added.

The vocal lawyer was deported in 2018 and his passport confiscated by the government on allegations of being in the country illegally.

However, the High Court in November ruled he was a Kenyan and termed his deportation as illegal and violation of his constitutional rights.

Justice Chacha Mwita awarded the lawyer-cum-politician Sh7 million as compensation and ordered the State to surrender his passport and facilitate his return to the country.

Justice Mwita termed Miguna a political refugee without a passport in Canada and remains so since the government is yet to obey the court orders.

While in exile, Miguna authored a book, 'Treason: The Case Against Tyrants and Renegades', where he details intrigues surrounding Raila's January 30, 2018, and other secrets of the National Super Alliance (NASA).
