A section of Uasin Gishu gospel Ministers now wants Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino to resign with immediate effect.
This follows his arrest on Friday over claims he shot a Dj at B Club in Nairobi on Thursday. Felix Orinda also is known as DJ Evolve, a was shot on the neck and rushed to the Nairobi Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Led by their chairman Bishop Wilson Kurui, they said the incident was uncalled for and ill intended.
"As religious leaders from Uasin Gishu we want to condemn the shooting incidence with strongest terms possible and we are calling on Babu Owino to resign with immediate effect since what he did is not expected from a leader of his calibre," said Bishop Kurui.
Bishop Kurui who spoke to the press in Eldoret town on Friday said stern actions should also be taken against.
"Owino should stay in jail for as long as possible to act as an example to people with similar heinous deed.No matter his status in the community let the law take its course," added the Uasin Gishu Gospel Ministers Chairman Bishop Wilson Kurui.
Bishop Kurui warned Kenyans against electing leaders of his statue since instead of him helping the electorates he is busy partying and shooting people recklessly.
