Addressing the media in Eldoret town on Thursday, Uasin Gishu KUPPET Secretary General Elijah Maiyo said the move is uncalled for, adding that teachers will not support it.

“I want to express my dissatisfaction to policies passed by CS Education George Magoha of listing parents on CRB. This move is inhuman and ill-intended,” said Maiyo.

He wondered how the CS will put parents on CRB, yet the ministry has not sent the capitation funds to schools.

"If there is any person who should be put on the CRB is the government of Kenya through the CS,  since it has not provided the funds which it committed itself to provide in schools to enable our children to get quality learning in schools,” he opined.

Maiyo reiterated that it is sad that some schools in the county have not received even a single cent of the capitation funds which was supposed to be issued in January.

“I don’t see how a government through its minister can fail to provide funds meant for schools to run the programs from January through July and expect that the children will do well in their examinations,” he said.
