The school refused to admit Solomon Muuo for lack of fees, school uniform and other essentials.

Muuo had travelled with his mother from Kitui south full of hope that a good Samaritan will come through for him to join the school.

The young boy did his Kenya certificate of primary education at Kiaoni primary school in Ikutha, Kitui county and was selected to join Machakos school.

It's in the same school where Cabinet Secreatry for Education Professor George Magoha asked schools to admit kids without school fee.

Magoha gave out the order accompanied by the school principal Kahi Indimuli.

"I won't to encourage all other head teachers on the country including my brother Kahi Indimuli that any child who presents him/herself should not be turned back," said Magoha.

"I was informed about a student who was turned back from a school we sorted the issue this morning and the child is going back to school. One two or even more children without fee will not take don your school. I keep saying it's a government child in a government school," he added.
