Speaking at Kwa Jomvu Primary School in Mombasa, Nick encouraged the government to invest in sports noting that it will help the youths avoid social ills and earn trust from leaders.

“Sports events uplift the youth and people in leadership will be able to trust us. The leadership should take responsibility and come out to speak to the youth on how to get focused in life. The government should come up with ways in which they can support initiatives like this to eliminate any problems in society," Nick stated

On his part, Abdalla asked leaders to fight the drug menace at the Coast. He believes sports are one of the means leaders can use to engage young men and women, which keeps them away from drug abuse.

Meanwhile, Nick was recently admitted to the bar by Chief Justice David Maraga. He received well wishes from several people including his father.

"One day, a long time ago, you set a goal to become an attorney. Then you accomplished your goal. Congratulations Wakili Nick Ruto," wrote William Ruto on Twitter while congratulating his son.
