Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leader Dr. Alfred Mutua has reiterated that he is ready to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta when he completes his second and final term in power.
Speaking after holding a meeting with a team of researchers led by Mr. Robert Yates, Head of the Centre on Global Health Security at Chatham House, United Kingdom, Mutua said that he has what it takes to succeed the commander in chief of the armed.
The Ukambani political kingpin reminded Kenyans to elect leaders based on their performance scorecards.
Mutua, who doubles as Machakos Governor, said that he will continue with the good work of the President if he is given the chance to take over leadership.
He divulged that Uhuru has given his best, adding that he will continue implementing projects just like the incumbent has done.
“Kenyans must also start to elect leaders who are clean and have a clear development track record. It is for this reason, that I seek to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta and cement his legacy even as I implement exemplary socio-economic development,” he said.
Mutua also advised Uhuru to embrace Universal Health Care Program for the sake of the lives of Kenyans.
He said that health plays a pivotal role in the economic growth of any population and Kenya I no different.
