Nairobi county MPs on Thursday visited the family of Embakasi West MP George Theuri to condole with him following the death of his father Athanus Mungai Theuri.

Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga in a Facebook post noted that she, together with other leaders from Nairobi spent time with Theuri's family to mourn the loss of Mr Mungai.

"Condoling with the family of Embakasi West MP Hon. George Theuri after the loss of their Dad Mr. Atnas Mungai. May the Almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace. My heart goes out to you in your time of sorrow," noted Omanga.

Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hasan also tweeted that he was in the company of legislators who paid their colleague a visit to convey their sympathies to the family in Umoja on Thursday afternoon.

In a tweet, the Embakasi West MP revealed that the legislators visited his home in Umoja 1 Estate to mourn with his family where relatives were also making burial arrangements.

"Nairobi MPs consoling my family today at my parents residence in Umoja 1 house number H42 where friends and relatives are converging for burial arrangements(sic)," Theuri's tweet read.

George Theuri's father Athanus Mungai Theuri passed on in November 18th 2019.

"My family mourns......"I can't believe Dad you are gone" R.I.P Dad. I celebrate u my hero. I may try to look strong on the outside but I'm so broken (sic)," the MP tweeted on Monday.
