The Government has deployed more security officers in Fafi, Garissa County following the newly established fully-fledged Galmagala Police Camp.
Fafi MP Abdikarim Osman Mohamed said he held a meeting with CS Fred Matiang’i to request for more police officers.
In a post on Facebook, Mohamed said the deployment of the officers will help improve security in Fafi Constituency.
He said the region needs proper security to facilitate meaningful development adding the extra security personnel will ensure the safety of residents and that all criminals are dealt with accordingly.
“Following a request I made to the top security brass of National Police Service and a meeting with CS Fred Matiangi, 21 police officers will now be deployed to serve in the newly established fully fledged Galmagala Police Camp from Garissa tomorrow (Friday).”
“The 6 Administration Police personnel that were transferred from Galmagala will now be redeployed to Garasweyno as a fulfilment of our efforts to have an AP camp there. I have also asked the Fafi NG-CDF Committee to include in their budgets the constructions of 5 houses for the APs in Garasweyno,” posted Mohamed on Facebook.
The MP said the government upgraded the Galmagala AP station to a fully-fledged police station which will be fully staffed, equipped and all logistical needs provided.
