Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has lashed out at Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.
Speaking on Wednesday on the Point Blank show moderated by Tony Gachoka on the Kenya Television Network (KTN), Kabogo disparaged the series of angry tweets by the Senate majority leader as irresponsible coming from a leader of his stature.
According to the former county boss, it was plain silly for Murkomen to point at the ethnicity of the members of the committee that gave President Uhuru Kenyatta a report on whose basis the Kimwarer dam was cancelled.
The DP Ruto-backing senator held out the view that the Head of State was misled in cancelling the dam project.
"He wanted his brother to be in the committee... I am saying it is stupid of him to think that way. He is not thinking like a national leader. He is not thinking like a leader of government business," the former Kiambu governor said.
The Kimwarer dam was called off over issues with financial and technical viability.
Its cancellation comes after investigations into the dam pointed at possible corrupt deals.
Deputy President Dr William Ruto months ago after the loss of money was reported in the dam project said that only Sh7 billion had been lost and not over Sh20 billion.
