For years now, Dr Ruto has been traversing the country inspecting and launching new projects, something which has often caused uproar.

On Tuesday in Nairobi, Ruto reportedly told a delegation from Nyamira that he can only launch more projects upon completion of the existing ones.

"He told us that he was unable to launch new projects until the existing ones are completed. He said that he will get in touch with officers on the ground to speed up the projects," said the source.

President Uhuru Kenyatta early this year warned government departments against launching new projects before completion of the existing ones.

In a phone interview on Wednesday, Bosire said he was glad that Ruto had seen the 'light' adding that it was absolutely unnecessary to launch more projects.

"I am happy that he has seen the light and sense in what the president said long time ago. You can't continue launching projects which end up stalling. The president was after all right."

For years, Mr Bosire, also an economist and ODM treasurer, has been accusing Ruto of launching ghost projects across Gusii region which are currently not in progress.

He challenged MPs allied to the DP from the region to often make use of parliament by ensuring that such projects are budgeted for to avoid confusions.
