Ford-Kenya party leader has said that the Wiper Party led by Kalonzo Musyoka is behind Ford-Kenya's parliamentary candidate in Kibra constituency by-elections.
Speaking on Sunday when the party's candidate, Ramadhan Butichi, was unveiled in Lindi, the Bungoma senator said that Kalonzo Musyoka had sent his greetings to the people of Kibra.
He told supporters that Wiper MPs would accompany the Ford-Kenya candidate to IEBC today, Monday.
"I bring you the greetings of Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper. We are together with him and tomorrow when we'll be accompanying the engineer to submit him papers to IEBC, we will be accompanied by Wiper MPs."
"(Nawaletea salamu za ndugu yangu Kalonzo Stephen Musyoka wa Wiper. Yeye tuko pamoja na kesho tukipeleka engineer kupeleka makaratasi yake nitakua pamoja na wabunge wa Wiper na mimi), " the Bungoma senator said.
Ramadhan Butichi will slug it out against Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate Imran Okoth, Amani National Congress (ANC) candidate Eliud Owalo and governing Jubilee's McDonald Mariga.
The Kibra by-election is slated for November this year.
Kibra constituency has long been in the grip of ODM as Raila Odinga represented the constituency when it was still part of the Langata constituency.
Kalonzo Musyoka's party did not field a candidate in the race.
The former vice president, at the time of writing this story, had not come out clearly to say who he will be supporting if he indeed he has a preferred candidate in the Kibra by-election.
