Thursday marked exactly two years since the country held a general election on August 8, 2017.
Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna revisited the disputed poll and claimed President Uhuru Kenyatta manipulated results to emerge the winner.
Uhuru, who was Jubilee Party's candidate, faced stiff competition from former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who was the National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer.
In a tweet on Thursday, Miguna claimed Uhuru hacked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) systems so as to doctor figures to show he was validly elected.
"2 years ago Despot Uhuru Kenyatta unleashed computer hackers to hijack the IEBC server and KIEMS kits. They posted doctored figures and had himself declared "duly elected." When Kenyans rose up against the fraud, he murdered them. We demand SUBSTANTIVE and electoral justice," he posted.
In the said election, Uhuru was named the winner with 8,203,290 (54.27%) votes while Raila came second with 6,762,224 (44.74%) votes.
The NASA candidate rejected the results, claiming there was a fraud in the results transmission and declared he won't accept ‘computer-generated leaders’ or ' Vifaranga vya Computer'.
Miguna, who vied for Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the same election, has in the past admitted he voted for Uhuru to serve a second and final term.
However, he has repeatedly stated, he turned against him after it emerged at the Supreme Court he 'stole' the election.
In a September 2017 ruling by the apex court, Uhuru was absolved from any wrongdoing, but his reelection was cancelled over massive irregularities and illegalities in the poll.
Miguna joined hands with Raila to boycott October repeat election in which the Jubilee candidate was declared validly elected.
