Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has taken a swipe at Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford-Kenya counterpart Moses Wetang'ula after they attended Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) meeting held at Bukhungu stadium on Saturday.
The duo attended the event which was graced by ODM party leader Raila Odinga among other dignitaries among them COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli and Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa.
Kuria insinuated that by Mudavadi and Wetang'ula attending the function they endorsed Raila yet they have not benefited by supporting him in his previous presidential bids.
The Jubilee MP termed Western Kenya as 'Raila's bedroom' and challenged the two leaders to try wrestle it from him since they hail from the region.
"My good friends Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Masika Wetangula. You have several children with Raila Odinga out of political wedlock. 2007, 2013, 2017 etc. And you are still visiting Baba’s bedroom ‘to borrow a novel, nothing else’. Boss, until when will we keep on looking as others eat? (Omwami khulalenjela avandu nivalia mbaka siku shina?)" Kuria posed on Facebook.
However, Rarieda MP and lawyer Otiende Amollo lauded the two for being at the event, and expressed hope that Deputy President William Ruto will attend next BBI forum.
#BBIAtBukhungu, Rarieda Fully Represented at Bukhungu! Kakamega is Pulpable! It’s Good Hons Mudavadi & Wetangula have seen the the Need For These Regional Fora, and have joined Rt Hon Raila in Kakamega. Hope DP Will Join Soon," Amollo tweeted.
Initial reports indicated that Mudavadi and Wetang'ula would attend a counter BBI rally in Mumias but the event was canceled by the government citing security reasons.
