Renowned lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has offered to defend rapper King Kaka, over any law suits that may be filed against him for releasing 'Wajinga Nyinyi' song.
In a tweet, Ahmednasir argued that no leader was defamed in the song, adding that he is ready to defend the singer in a court of law if need be.
"I said and I repeat... I will give legal representation to King Kaka against anyone who sues him for the lyric 'Wajinga Nyinyi'. I'm of the considered view that no one amongst the ruling elites or the masses was defamed. Ugly, crass and lewd commentaries on society are privileged," he tweeted.
His offer came a few hours after Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru threatened to sue King Kaka for defamation.
The governor accused the rapper of defaming her by linking her to the NYS saga, where millions of taxpayers money was lost.
“You ought to have known that despite extensive investigations and several prosecutions in relation to the loss of funds at NYS, our client has never been charged in a court of law as an accused person in relation to NYS or any other scandal ...,” Waiguru's demand letter read in part.
