The Inspector General of the Kenya Police Hillary Mutyambai has met with the British High Commissioner to Kenya Jane Marriot.
The Kenya Police on its Twitter handle revealed the meeting which it said took the form of a courtesy call.
"Today the British High commissioner to Kenya , H.E. Jane Marriot OBE. Paid a courtesy visit to @IG_NPS, " the National Police Service wrote on Twitter.
A bewildering array of issues were discussed by the two including a number of development projects and training programmes that have been funded by the British government.
"During the meeting, they discussed various development projects and training programmes the British government has supported the @NPSOfficial_KE through their Embassy in Nairobi, " the National Police Service said in another tweet.
Hillary Mutyambai was sworn in as the new inspector general after taking over from Joseph Boinett in April.
He had served as an officer in the intelligence community.
In his inaugural speech, he vowed to make terrorism and cattle rustling his top priorities in his stint as the boss of the police service.
He also pledged to usher the police service into the modern age by digitising its operations to ensure even more accountability.
"I will equally work towards the completion of the digitisation of police services," he said.
