Members of Team Embrace have vowed not to make a U-turn on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
The team on Wednesday promised to support President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga once the report is made public.
Speaking during a rally in Musila Gardens in Mwingi, Kitui County, the leaders said that the BBI has solutions to problems facing the nation at the moment because it was adopted after the views of all Kenyans were taken into account.
Kitui Woman Representative Irene Kasalu said that those opposed to the report are enemies of progress. She reminded the leaders who are not ready to back the initiative to reconsider their decision.
“We are very sure the BBI team captured the views of all Kenyans and we have no reason not to support it when it is made public,” Kasalu said, as quoted by the Standard.
Homa Bay Woman Rep Gladys Wanga said that the report has come at an ideal time, adding that the team will stand with the president and Raila to the end.
She said that the nation has witnessed massive development since the handshake between the two leaders, adding that the adoption of the report will pave way for more projects in different parts of the nation.
Her sentiments were echoed by Siaya Woman Rep Christine Ombaka.
The BBI team has revealed that the report is ready for submission.
