Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula was on Thursday hosted by Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa in a closed-door meeting.
The meeting took place at Barasa's Nasienda home in Western Kenya, with regional matters and political union reportedly being the agenda.
Also present was Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati, one of the two Ford Kenya governors in the country.
Ford Kenya Youth leader Aggrey Nalianya told this reporter on phone, Friday that the Luhya leaders meeting organised by Francis Atwoli was among the issues discussed.
"The most important thing is that the leaders discussed the unity of Luhya people. We have continued to speak from different scripts.
"They also talked about the meeting organised by Atwoli and agreed that it's not all inclusive. They want all leaders to be allowed to plan and execute it," he said.
Mr Atwoli has called for a Western Kenya leaders' meeting at Bukhungu stadium this month on 18th.
Barasa is a Jubilee legislator and a staunch ally of Deputy President William Ruto.
Wetangula has distanced himself in the past on alleged plans to form an alliance with the DP.
In the past two elections, Wetangula has supported ODM leader Raila Odinga, but the two leaders seem to be walking on different paths now.
