The fallen giants have sworn to come back in a big way and bring back the glory of the days when they couldn't be defeated by any club during home games at Gusii stadium.

Shabana is currently second in the National Division One league-Zone B, with 53 points behind Eldoret youth who are leading with 61 points.

The chairman of Shabana fans, Boniface Ntabo,  has given urged all the fans to turn and cheers their club to victory;

 "We urge all the fans, supporters and sponsors to come in large numbers to support Saturday's game that will be played at Bomet stadium from 1.00pm. He said in a phone interview.

Mr. Ntabo further added that the Gusii community needs to own Shabana as their own, in spite of its performance.

"Shabana is our club, it's our sons that play in it for now, and if they do well, we will celebrate. I want to ask the Kisii residents to support Shabana now because they have a very bright future."

If Shabana wins against Silbwet, they get a chance to play a play-off match, which might grant them a chance to join the national superleague.

Shabana is one of the giant football clubs that dominated the Kenyan premier league (KPL) back in the '90s with an almost 100% win on home ground (Gusii stadium).

Despite the hurdles and struggles especially with finance and a training ground the club is slowly regaining its lost position and the fans are confident of getting back to the premier league in two years.
