Former Budalangi Member of Parliament Ababu Namwamba has sworn to stand by Deputy President William Ruto's agenda ahead of 2022 general elections.
Speaking in a video shared online on Sunday, Namwamba who currently holds a Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) position at the Ministry of foreign affairs praised the Ruto and revealed how he kickstarted his political journey.
"We have started a journey in which we feel we need to have just one leader and order in the way we do things. And that man is Deputy President William Ruto," said Namwamba.
"This guy is the one who influenced me into getting into politics. He did not look for me anywhere else but in my office. He walked into my office, talked to me and my journey started," added the CAS.
He pointed out that DP Ruto was chosen to represent the people to prevent chaos caused by divided leadership. He also praised the DP for his outstanding character telling off those who brand him as a thief saying that they are misguided and have no evidence to prove that.
"I know him he is a strong man, he is honest, he means what he says and I know he works very hard," Ababu added.
The former ODM mogul likened the DP with a son of a poor man claiming that when a poor man becomes rich, people will say that he has stolen.
He pitied DP Ruto critics ahead of 2022 elections saying that they had a heavy workload waiting for them.
"Those of you who are planning to oppose the DP have your job cut out for you, I pity his opponents as they have an uphill task,
"And for us who have decided to walk with him, it is going to be a journey like you have never seen before," he added.
He promised to sell DP Ruto's agenda with the hope that he will win.
