The DP alleged that the reporting was biased.

"JUBILEE is under one leader Uhuru Kenyatta. The 'wars' are a figment of the fertile evil imaginations of the now notoriously desperate standard media's warped & venomous logic," Ruto posted.

Ruto claims the paper is out to poison Jubilee party politics. Kibra parliamentary seat has stirred another political storm after Jubilee announced that it will field a candidate to face Raila OdingaOdinga led ODM party.

"MacDonald Mariga is in the contentious list of Jubilee candidates sent to the electoral commission but has been disowned by party secretary-general Rafael Tuju in what is turning out to be a battle for control of the ruling party," reads part of the article.

The former Harambee Stars player MacDonald Mariga announced his intentions to replace late Kibra MP Ken Okoth on a Jubilee ticket via a list forwarded to the IEBC.

Other names on the list as reported by Standard were Morris Peter Kinyanjui, Walter Trenk, Said Ibrahim and Doreen Wasike. However, IEBC has asked the party to sort its issues and present a neutral list after Mariga's candidature was opposed by some party members.

“It has come to the attention of the Commission that Jubilee Party has denied authoring the said letter and termed it as fake,” said IEBC.
