1. Afya Centre
The green tall building along Tom Mboya street is an iconic building in the city that everyone should know. Mostly, this is the place where newcomers are advised to stay as they wait for 'wenyejis'.
2. National Archives
The National Archives is centrally placed along Tom Mboya street and Moi Avenue. Its central placement is important as it is safer and easy to get to when you alight in the city.
3. KenCom
The KenCom stage is popular for matatus heading to Kilimani area, Kawangware, Kibera, Kenyatta Hospital l, Hurlingham and more where a good number of Nairobians live. It is also centrally placed and so if you are a newbie then you can be easily picked from here.
4. Ambassadeur hotel stage
Located along Moi Avenue Just opposite KenCom. This is where Matatus heading to Embakasi area, Utawala and JKIA are found. They usually use Mombasa road. Being that most Nairobians live in Eastlands, it is an ideal place for newbies to mark.
5. Railways
Railways stage is another place every Nairobian should easily locate. It is at the junction of Hail Selassie Avenue and Moi Avenue. Here you will find matatus heading to Lang'ata, Ongata Rongai, Mlolongo, Kitengela and many other places. Marking this place is an advantage as one can easily trace it.
6. Central Bus Park
The central bus park is another place every Nairobian should know. It is situated between Temple Road and Uyoma Lane few meters from Afya Center. Here you will find Matatus heading to Imara Daima, South B, South C, Highrise and many more.
