Six people were killed and several others injured after armed Pokot bandits attacked Lokori in Turkana South.

The incident occurred on Saturday.

According to reports, over 100 armed Pokots from Mosol and Tirioko in Tiaty, Baringo County raided the area torching several houses.

An unknown number of livestock was also stolen.

A senior Pokot elder told the Star that the six died in the incident which is seen as a revenge attack.

"The place is too far from and information reaching is is still scanty..but we heard the attack happened on Saturday around 3 pm" he said.

A number of youth may have been injured by gunshots although they could not seek medical attention for fear of arrests and implications.
