A 6-year-old girl in Ahero, Kisumu County is nursing wounds after a group of seven men gang-raped her on Tuesday night.Narrating the sad story, the girl said the men, six of them, grabbed her and took her to a certain house, where they locked her up before they came later in a group of seven.They raped her and threatened to kill her if she shouted."I shouted three times but no one heard me. They threatened to kill me," she said."They locked me up from 9 pm to 7 am on Wednesday," she added.
The men later forced her to change her clothes and wash them after she was given other clothes believed to be of another rape victim.Head of community policing Hezekiah Omanga said the girl was given clothes of a victim who the gang may have raped in the past, to distort evidence.He noted that the gang has been notorious for preying on women and gang-raping them.Omanga indicated that the girl was taken to a neighbouring hospital for medication where she was given PrEP.He further indicated fellow community policing members were working with the police to arrest the men, who the girl said she clearly knows six of them.
