A 60-year old man has been jailed for life by a Mombasa court after being found guilty of defiling a minor.

Mombasa Senior Resident Magistrate Martin Rabera gave the Judgment on Tuesday 3rd of January 2016 in the case where Jimmy Mwanzo was accused of defiling a class eight pupil

Mwanzo is said to have committed the offense on the 30th of May 2016 in Kibarani village, Changamwe Sub County, Mombasa County .

Rabera said he was convinced beyond reasonable doubt, after hearing consistent testimonies from prosecution witnesses, that the accused was guilty.

He said testimony from the girl's mother and neighbors indicated that the girl was seen running out of the man's house crying before the man escaped through the back door.
