President Uhuru Kenyatta has been hailed over his fight against corruption in the country.
The head of state, who held a meeting with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Director for African Department Mr Abebe Selassie among other leaders at State House, Nairobi, was commended over his continued fight against corruption by Mr. Abebe.
In a tweet on Monday evening, the State House said:
''The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Director for African Department Mr Abebe Selassie has commended President Uhuru Kenyatta for spearheading the war against corruption saying Kenya is on the right path,'' wrote the State House.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is on his second and last term at the helm of the country, will step aside after his term ends in 2022.
However, Uhuru in various past occasions cautioned Kenyans that no one will be spared in their war against corruption in the country.
He pointed out that even his close friends and even family members will face the law when found in a corruption case.
During the meeting, Mr Abebe introduced to President Uhuru Mr Tobias Rasmussen, the new IMF Kenya Resident Representative to the President.
This comes after the former representative Jan Mikkelsen tenure ended on 13 September this year.
IMF has helped Kenya a lot in terms of technical support making sure the stability of the country remains great.
