Every one of us has different preferences in life. We act and talk according to our views. Although a change in behaviour can happen fast, our personalities are not easily altered. Here are some of the conditions that can cause a change in your personality.
1. Brain tumour
It is quite possible for a brain tumour on the frontal lobe to affect the brain's functions. This can lead to memory loss, making one appear confused, forgettable and aggressive. The people around you will notice the change in your personality.
2. Stroke
One can begin acting impulsively different when they are suffering from a stroke. This is because the brain cells will start to die the moment they are not receiving oxygen which might have resulted from blood not reaching the brain.
3. Depression
Depression does not only affect your mood, but also the way you think about the things around you and how you make decisions.
4. Drugs and substance abuse
If you take drugs and alcohol, they will have an influence on your brain and might create different kinds of personalities that were not there before. This will, in turn, cause you to act differently. Drugs and alcohol can also cause brain damage.
5. Thyroid disease
Thyroid hormone acts to control the body on how fast or slow it should work. Once the thyroid glands are affected, you will tend to be anxious most of the time and you are likely to keep experiencing mood swings.
