The two have been accused for contempt of court.

High Court Justice Tripsisa Cherere on Thursday issued this order directing that Kisumu County Commander Benson Maweu should arrest the two.

More so, she noted that she has committed them to a one month civil jail. Justice Tripsisa Cherere found the two guilty of disobeying court orders in their case with their nephews over estate ranges.

Their nephews had sued the duo for failing to include them on the inheritance list of their father's Hesbone Shimei Nyong’o multimillion-shilling estate.

On October 11, 2018 Justice Cherere directed the two to surrender the books of account of the property in question which they failed to provide nor even appear in court. On May 30, 2019, they were fined a sum of Sh400,000 each for contempt of court.

More so, the court ordered that the two will be paying a sum of Sh50,000 every month they fail to submit their father's books of accounts.

Residents came out in number to give their views in the warrant to arrest Governor Nyong'o.
