Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) committee has denied claims of locking out Tanga Tanga MPs from attending the event aimed at unveiling the report at Bomas of Kenya on Wednesday.
In a tweet in its official Twitter account, the committee exonerated itself from accusations of deliberately failing to invite the lawmakers to the event.
The task force members further asserted that the State House was responsible for planning the event and not them.
"POLITE NOTICE!DP MPs &Tangatanga leaders claiming we haven't invited them to the Bomas event on Wednesday is utter falsehood & completely fake!
NOTE: It's the Office of the President organizing the event, NOT BBI Team!," tweeted the taskforce.
Some Tanga Tanga legislators who are loyal to the deputy president William Ruto had taken issue with the BBI unveiling event planners for failing to invite them to the Bomas function taking place on Wednesday.
Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot in a tweet on Friday criticized president Uhuru Kenyatta for not living up to his word of ensuring that everyone was engaged in the preparation of the BBI report which he (Uhuru Kenyatta) said could bring desired positive change in the country.
Cheruiyot had further questioned why only Kieleweke MPs who are allied to the president were invited to the event.
"I want to take my president for his word and believe that indeed BBI is about a new Kenya 4 all of us, BUT the actions of his office ( OP ) contradict him. Take 4 e.g, Only Kieleweke MPs have been asked to do a list of supporters 2 come receive BBI report, the rest wajipange," noted Cheruiyot.
On Wednesday, the long-awaited BBI report will be unveiled in a ceremony held at Bomas of Kenya.
