Alego-Usonga MP has said that the now embattled former National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich was "silently an arrogant man".
In a tweet on Wednesday, Atandi recalled one incident where the ex-CS allegedly told him to wait for more debts when he (Atandi) inquired about the growing national debt.
The same reportedly happened when the CS and his team appeared before the Finance and National Planning Committee, which he says brought out the arrogant side of the CS.
"Mr Henry Rotich was silently an arrogant man. At our first meeting as Finance and National Planning Committee, I asked him if he was worried about spiralling debt, his response, our economy required huge investments which could not wait for own revenues. He promised us more debts," he tweeted.
The first-term MP says that the CS was as well inept and uninformed on things happening in his own docket and mostly depended on his officials to answer the questions raised.
"He fumbled a lot during committee meetings and especially during finance bill conversations. In most cases, his battery of old technocrats who always accompanied him made presentations and answered our questions. The man was practically inept," he added.
President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday picked Labour CS Ukur Yattani to hold the position in an acting capacity.
