Speaking on Friday at Eldoret Sports Club, the legislator doubled down on his vow that he would not remain silent as foreigners rendered locals jobless.

He said that he would not be cowed and that he was not a fool as some of his critics have described him.

"There are those who said that I am a fool. That I don't know what I was saying but I want to say today here that I am not a fool and I am not afraid to say the things that I said. (Kuna watu walisema ati mimi ni mjinga. Mimi sijui nasema nini lakini mimi nataka niseme leo hapa, mimi sio mjinga na mimi siogopi kusema yale maneno nilisema), " the Starehe legislator said. The MP's remarks that got him into trouble with authorities threatened to plunge Kenya and Tanzania into a diplomatic crisis as Kenya's ambassador was summoned to shed more light on Jaguar's remarks.

President Uhuru Kenyatta rushed to Tanzania in a bid to quell the tensions that had been ignited by the MP's tirade.

During his visit, Uhuru described those making utterances that threaten relations between the two countries as foolish.
