The tout pulls the officer from the front seat of a matatu, causing the officer's cap to fall off.

He manages to pull the policeman from the seat.

The officer fights back and in the process, the trouser of the tout slides off his waste, giving the policeman the chance to go back to the seat.

It was not immediately known what led to the physical fight between the two.

Controversial blogger Robert Alai shared the video on his Twitter feed as he alerted law enforcement agencies about the incident, describing the tout as a "fool who should be arrested and charged".

"Anyone assaulting a police officer should always know that he is an enemy of Kenya. This fool should be arrested and charged, " Alai's angry tweet read.

It is illegal in Kenya to assault a law enforcement officer.

This is not the first time that Kenyans have been treated to a video showing a civilian physically assaulting a police officer.

A few months ago, a video of an Uber driver resisting arrest by beating an officer went viral.

The Uber driver was later arrested and charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
