The lawmaker on Thursday accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of running down the economy, further claiming that he is plotting to cling on power after his 2022 retirement.

Now, Lugari Member of Parliament Ayub Savula has hit out at her, reminding her that there are better ways to deal with such if the president indeed harbours such plans.

He says that Wahome can comfortably use her powers as a legislator to block Uhuru from becoming Prime Minister, and should use that avenue rather than making too much noise.

"Why can't you bring a motion to block Uhuru from being Prime Minister? Its very simple," he stated on Friday in Nairobi.

According to the Amani National Congress (ANC) Deputy Party Leader, Wahome should use the same option to deal with the economic damage she says Uhuru has caused.

"Wahome sits in the legislature, why can't she bring a motion here on how to revive the economy?" he posed.

Wahome, formerly a staunch supporter of Uhuru, has since crossed over to the Deputy President William Ruto's side, which has been firing attacks on the president.

She also accused Uhuru of working with ODM leader Raila Odinga to victimise other leaders.
