Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo now wants another team nominated to take over from the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) team after the just concluded report compilation exercise.
The BBI taskforce will today hand over its report on the views it has collected from Kenyans regarding the way forward for the nation, to President Uhuru Kenyatta at the statehouse.
The lawmaker on Tuesday stressed on the need for the formation of another team to break down the content of the report and turn it into a constitutional report.
"It would do us well to have a lean team of experts to reduce the general content of the report into a constitutional document," he said on AM Live, Tuesday morning.
He said that after the release of the document to the public at the Bomas of Kenya on Wednesday, it will be time for those opposed to it to get a chance to read it.
The parliamentarian added that from there, Kenyans should seize the opportunity and scrutinize the document, before choosing what to support and what not to.
"I have always supported the process; it is now time to look at the content. Some were opposed to the process; I want to urge them to look at the content," he added.
