Amani National Congress (ANC) Musalia Mudavadi is the US in a bid to solidify his 2022 political ambition.
According to officials, Mudavadi is set to woo the diaspora group to back his Presidential bid as he seeks to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta upon the completion of his second and final term in power.
He landed in Boston on Tuesday and his expected to meet several groups during the tour.
He was accompanied by several leaders including Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi, Nambale MP Bunyasi Sakwa and former Lamu Governor Issa Timamy and ANC Secretary-General Barrack Muluka.
“He is expected to meet Kenyans in various cities to market his presidential candidature and listen to their concerns about the country ahead of the 2022 elections,” an official accompanying him told Capital FM News.
Mudavadi’s communication team has revealed that he is expected to give a lecture at the University of Massachusetts.
The ANC party boss is expected to address the impact of terrorism on African nations. Mudavadi has announced that he is ready to face Deputy President William Ruto in 2022.
He believes he has what it takes to ascend to power in 2022. He has exuded confidence that he will beat Deputy President William Ruto.
