Kenyans should brace for a dry and sunny weather in the next five days, the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) has announced.
Several parts of the country have been experiencing heavy rains and wet weather, that saw floods cause havoc in some parts of the country.
However, the weatherman now says most parts of the county are set for sunny days ahead, with regions in the Western Kenya set to receive the highest temperatures.
According to a statement released on Wednesday, signed by KMD Director Stella Aura, Marsabit, Mandera and Wajir will receive the highest temperatures of up to 35 degrees.
In Nairobi, the temperatures will hit a high of 26 degrees and 36 degrees in Turkana, Samburu and West Pokot counties.
Highs of between 25 and 33 degrees will be experienced by residents of the coastal strip.
"The Coastal Strip (counties of Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale) will be cloudy in the evenings and temperatures will range between 25-33 degrees," reads the statement in part.
The prediction comes at a time when Kenyans in other parts of the country are yet to return home after being displaced by the heavy rains that pounded the country in December.
It also comes only weeks after heavy rainfalls resulted in deaths of an upward of 50 people and displacement of hundreds of others, whose homes were swept away by landslides.
