Hussein who has been the prime time news anchor has left the Royal Media Service owned station after 10 years of service.

In a tweet on Friday, Hussein announced his exit.

''It has been a wonderful 10 years at Citizen TV. I have enjoyed and relished every moment I shared with my colleagues at RMS. I have decided to take a break after October In Sha Allah to concentrate on other matters. Loved the fans, the critics and everything in between. See you soon,'' he said.

He has been a political show interviewer who hosted a number of top politicians in the country. He hosted Deputy President William Ruto, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga among others.

His exit from the media house is a big blow to RMS who have in the recent past lost a number of top-class presenters.

Just to mention but a few, Day Break’ host Joey Muthengi, news anchor Jacque Maribe, Anne Kiguta and Andy Mburu among others left the media house.

Unlike others who left the media house to join other media houses, Hussein has not revealed where he is headed next or what he will do next. However, he has promised to be back soon.
