President Uhuru Kenyatta is not targeting anyone in the war against runaway graft, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has said.
In an interview with KTN’s Point Blank, Waiguru said that the President means well for this country.
She reiterated that the commander in chief of the armed forces has no one on target as far as the war against the looting of public resources is concerned.
The Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary affirmed that Uhuru is on the right path, adding that he needs the support of the people of this nation to win the war at the end of the day.
The remarks came after a section of Deputy President William Ruto’s allies claimed that Uhuru is targeting the second in command.
“I don’t think the president goes handpicking who should be investigated and who should not “she said.
In reference to the National Youth Saga, Waiguru said that she doesn’t agree with the process which was followed after she was linked to the loss of millions in her office.
She noted that she was ready to cooperate but the process was undertaken in an unfair manner.
“The process of investigation has vindicated me, but they haven’t done it the way I would have preferred it to be done,” she added.
