Gusii leaders have been put on spot following their Wednesday's meeting with ODM leader Raila Odinga at Capitol Hill offices in Nairobi.
The leaders under the stewardship of Governors James Ongwae and John Nyagarama met Mr Odinga for over two hours with the current political dispensation being in the offing.
Kisii Woman Representative Janet Ong'era said the meeting focused on Building Bridges Initiative and the anticipated constitutional changes.
"Together with other leaders, we held a meeting with Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Among others, we discussed political dispensation in the country," she said.
But Samuel Okemwa, a close ally of Odinga and a key mobiliser in the diaspora, accused the leaders of taking advantage of Mr Odinga's fame to enrich themselves.
Mr Okemwa accused them of being scavengers, adding that they have no moral values to represent the name of Abagusii anywhere in the world.
"Very useless people. They have not done anything in Gusii, now they are scavenging for 2022. Liars.Thieves. Scavengers," he said in a text.
"They are slowly succeeding to put omogusii into their pockets for their own interests. I just want to tell omogusii to be carefull. This people have a sinister motive," he added.
Others who were in the meeting included MPs Jimmy Angwenyi (Kitutu Chache North), Richard Onyonka (Kitutu Chache South), Simba Arati (Dagoretti North) and Samuel Arama (Nakuru Town West).
